Our Most Comprehensive IVF STD Test

The comprehensive test diagnoses all common sexually transmitted infections and is more in depth than any test available on the NHS. Many private IVF clinics may require you to be tested against all of the conditions within this screen. 

Who is this test for?

This test is designed for women who require a comprehensive test against all STIs that may have an impact on your pregnancy. Many of the conditions diagnosed are not tested on the NHS, yet they have the potential to affect your fertility or harm your baby.

How is the test carried out?

The test is carried out using both a urine sample and a venous blood sample in one of our clinics located nationwide. Certification of your results can be provided by bringing a photo ID to your clinic appointment.

Turnaround Time

This test can take up to 5 days to gain accurate results once received by the lab. On many occasions our results are returned quicker. Some of the conditions within the Profile 1 may be diagnosed quicker than others and on these occasions we’ll notify you of each as and when we receive them.

Incubation Period

Please be advised that this test will only offer the advised level of accuracy against all conditions 28 days after potential exposure. If you believe there is a chance that you have been exposed to a condition more recently than 28 days then our standard Early Detection screen will offer an accurate diagnosis.

This test is designed to identify the main conditions that are tested against before undergoing IVF, with a number of other conditions also tested for added Peace of Mind. 

Who is this test for?

This test is designed for women who are either undergoing IVF treatment or who are trying for a baby. It tests against a range of conditions which could have an impact on the health of both you and your baby during pregnancy and child birth.

How is the test carried out?

This test requires both a urine sample and a blood sample, both of which are collected from one of our clinic locations across the country. If you require a certificate of your results you must bring photo ID with you to your clinic appointment.

The majority of clinics require both parents to test against HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C & Chlamydia as standard. Our Standard IVF Screen diagnoses all of these, plus gonorrhoea and syphilis.

A test to take if you believe you’ve been exposed to chlamydia or gonorrhoea

Our chlamydia and gonorrhoea test uses a urine sample to diagnose both conditions. 

Who is this test for?

This test is important for anyone who believes they’ve come into contact with chlamydia or gonorrhoea. If one of your previous sexual partners has alerted you to a positive diagnosis then you have a high risk of exposure, especially if you didn’t use protection. It’s also useful for a retest if you’ve had treatment for one of the STIs and want to ensure it’s been effective.

If you believe it’s possible that you may have contracted the condition through oral or anal sex, then you are advised to carry out a swab test of the area that’s infected.

How is the test carried out?

This test is carried out using a urine sample which are collected from our clinic location. A medical professional will be on hand to offer instructions for your sample in order to ensure you gain positive results.

Our HIV 1&2/p24 Antigen test offers an accurate diagnosis of HIV, 28 days after exposure.

Who is this test for?

This test is useful for anyone who believes they’ve come into contact with HIV or as a useful precaution test. You should take this test if you’ve been alerted by a previous sexual partner that they are HIV+.

Many countries also require medical certification to prove that you do not have HIV if you are applying for a work visa. We offer certification of your results for free, if required, to help you with this process.

How is the test carried out?

This test is carried out using a blood sample, which is collected by a nurse from our clinic location.

Turnaround Time

This test has a 1 day turnaround time from when it’s received by our laboratory.

Incubation Period

Please be advised that this test will only offer the advised level of accuracy 28 days after potential exposure. If you believe you came into contact with HIV more recently than 28 days, our Early Detection tests may be of benefit. These tests offer diagnosis against HIV with a shorter 10 day turnaround time.
