Who is this test for?

This test is for anyone who believes they’ve been exposed to HIV or Hepatitis. If you are worrying about the condition so much that it’s impacting your quality of life, our Early Detection tests allow you to diagnose STDs sooner.

Turnaround Time

This test can take up to 5 days to gain accurate results once received by the lab. All samples are sent to the lab using Royal Mail 1st Class or by courier. On many occasions our results are returned quicker.

When can I take this test?

This test is part of our Early Detection range, which means it offers the advised level of accuracy against all conditions 10 days after potential exposure. If you believe you have been exposed to any of these conditions more recently than that, contact our team who will be able to explain your options.

Clinic test procedure

This test is only available as a clinic test or by using our home visits service. By selecting a clinic test you’ll be assisted by a nurse or doctor in one of our sexual health clinics located across the country.

1. Book your test

To book this test, simply press the ‘Select This Test’ button above. You’ll then be taken to our booking page where you can choose the best clinic for your needs.

2. Arrive at the clinic

Our clinics are all based in a discreet setting and because many of them are general health clinics, there’s no reason why anyone will know that you’re there for a sexual health screening. Just let the receptionist know who you are upon arrival.

3. Your blood sample

The Early Detection 2 test requires a blood and urine sample. The blood sample is collected by a trained nurse or doctor. They’ll take care of you and ensure you’re comfortable, but it will require the use of a needle.

4. Your urine sample

The urine sample will be collected by you in a clinic toilet, with the nurse or doctor providing you with full instructions before you deposit the sample. For the test to be fully accurate you must catch the first stream of urine.

5. Now we’ll take care of your results

Once you’ve deposited your sample, we’ll take care of the rest. We’ll notify you of your results using our online portal as soon as they’re reported by the laboratory.
