Who is this test for?
This test is useful for anyone who believes they’ve come into contact with HIV or as a useful precaution test. You should take this test if you’ve been alerted by a previous sexual partner that they are HIV+.
Many countries also require medical certification to prove that you do not have HIV if you are applying for a work visa. We offer certification of your results for free, if required, to help you with this process.
Turnaround Time
This test has a 1 day turnaround time from when it’s received by our laboratory. All of our samples are sent to the laboratory by either first class post or by courier.
When can I take this test?
Please be advised that this test will only offer the advised level of accuracy 28 days after potential exposure. If you believe you came into contact with HIV more recently than 28 days, our Early Detection tests may be of benefit. These tests offer diagnosis against HIV with a shorter 10 day turnaround time. Please contact our customer services team who will discuss your testing options with you.
Clinic test procedure
This test is only available as a clinic test or by using our home visits service. By selecting a clinic test you’ll be assisted by a nurse or doctor in one of our sexual health clinics located across the country.
1. Book your test
To book this test, simply press the ‘Select This Test’ button above. You’ll then be taken to our booking page where you can choose the best clinic for your needs.
2. Arrive at the clinic
Our clinics are all based in a discreet setting and because many of them are general health clinics, there’s no reason why anyone will know that you’re there for a sexual health screening. Just let the receptionist know who you are upon arrival.
3. Your blood sample
The HIV 1&2/p24 Antigen test requires a blood and urine sample. The blood sample is collected by a trained nurse or doctor. They’ll take care of you and ensure you’re comfortable, but it will require the use of a needle.
4. Now we’ll take care of your results
Once you’ve deposited your sample, we’ll take care of the rest. We’ll notify you of your results using our online portal as soon as they’re reported by the laboratory.
