When can I take this test?
Unlike our other tests, the Syphilis & Herpes Lesion Test is accurate from when symptoms show. It’s important that you get tested whilst symptoms are still fresh to receive the most accurate results. If you’ve had symptomatic lesions that have now healed, contact our customer services team to find the most appropriate tests to take instead.
Clinic test procedure
By selecting a clinic test you’ll be assisted by a nurse or doctor in one of our sexual health clinics located across the country.
1. Book your test
To book this test, simply press the ‘Select This Test’ button above. You’ll then be taken to our booking page where you can choose the best clinic for your needs.
2. Arrive at the clinic
Our clinics are all based in a discreet setting and because many of them are general health clinics, there’s no reason why anyone will know that you’re there for a sexual health screening. Just let the receptionist know who you are upon arrival.
3. Your swab sample
This test requires a swab sample taken from any active lesions affecting either your mouth or genitals. The lesion must be open or not yet have popped in order to offer accurate results.
4. Now we’ll take care of your results
Once you’ve deposited your sample, we’ll take care of the rest. We’ll notify you of your results using our online portal as soon as they’re reported by the laboratory.
