Who is the Hepatitis B and C Test For?
People living with HIV have a heightened risk of contracting Hepatitis B and C. Around 1 in 10 people with HIV have Hepatitis B, whilst 1 in 4 people with HIV have Hepatitis C. Therefore regular testing against hepatitis if you are living with HIV is essential. This test is also useful if you believe you have been exposed to hepatitis and want peace of mind about your sexual health status.
Test Turnaround Time
This test has a quick turnaround time, with results often returned within 1 day of the sample hitting the lab. All samples are sent to the laboratory using Royal Mail 1st Class Post or by courier. You will receive your results as soon as we receive them either through our online portal or via the phone.
Hepatitis Incubation Period
This test offers accurate results 28 days following initial exposure to Hepatitis, therefore it should not be used before this time. If you are concerned about Hepatitis and it’s been less than 28 days since exposure our Early Detection tests offer accurate results 10 days after exposure. 1. Booking Your Hepatitis B and C Test

2. Your Clinic Appointment
Our clinics are all based in a discreet setting and because many of them are general health clinics, there’s no reason why anyone will know that you’re there for a sexual health screening. Simply let the receptionist know who you are when you arrive, and they will send one of our friendly nurses to greet you.
3. Collecting the Blood Sample
The Profile 7 test requires a blood sample only. The blood sample is collected by a trained nurse or doctor. They’ll take care of you and ensure you’re comfortable, but it will require the use of a needle.
4. Receiving Your Test Results
Once you’ve deposited your sample, you can simply leave the clinic. We will send the samples to our nearby laboratory on the same day. Once your sample has been tested, you will be notified of your results straight away either via our online portal or another contact method.
