FAST 4

The same conditions tested as standard on the NHS, but with a FAST turnaround time

Our FAST 4 profile diagnoses four of the most common sexually transmitted infections with a four hour turnaround time upon reaching the laboratory. It’s the same test that’s offered as standard on the NHS, but you’ll benefit from our convenient and confidential service.

Please note: This is not an instant test and you will still need to wait for the transit time between the clinic and the laboratory of 1-2 working days.

Who is this test for?

This test is designed for anyone who wants accurate laboratory diagnosis against four of the most common sexually transmitted infections, without having to wait for standard laboratory turnaround times. The tests included on the FAST 2 test may often show no symptoms, therefore regular testing is the only effective way to diagnose them.

How is the test carried out?

The test is carried out using both a urine sample and a blood sample which are collected from our clinic location with help from a medical professional at the clinic.

Turnaround Time

Results for this test will usually be available four hours after reaching the laboratory. All of our samples are sent to the laboratory by either 1st Class Post or courier, usually taking 1-2 working days, depending on the time of your appointment.

Incubation Period

This test offers accurate results 28 days following potential exposure to the condition. If you believe you have come into contact with one of the conditions on this test more recently than 28 days then our Early Detection tests may be more suitable. These offer diagnosis 10 days following exposure.

Clinic test procedure

By selecting a clinic test you’ll be assisted by a nurse or doctor in one of our sexual health clinics located across the country.

1. Book your test

To book this test, simply press the ‘Select This Test’ button above. You’ll then be taken to our booking page where you can choose the best clinic for your needs.

2. Arrive at the clinic

Our clinics are all based in a discreet setting and because many of them are general health clinics, there’s no reason why anyone will know that you’re there for a sexual health screening. Just let the receptionist know who you are upon arrival.

3. Your blood sample

The Quick Turnaround 2 test requires a blood and urine sample. The blood sample is collected by a trained nurse or doctor. They’ll take care of you and ensure you’re comfortable, but it will require the use of a needle.

4. Your urine sample

The urine sample will be collected by you in a clinic toilet, with the nurse or doctor providing you with full instructions before you deposit the sample. For the test to be fully accurate you must catch the first stream of urine.

5. Now we’ll take care of your results

Once you’ve deposited your sample, we’ll take care of the rest. We’ll notify you of your results using our online portal as soon as they’re reported by the laboratory.
