Once you’ve deposited your sample, either at our clinic or at home, it will be posted to our laboratory for testing. Testing times depend on the turnaround time for the test that you selected. Once we learn your results we will let you know using your preferred contact method of either telephone or email.

In the event that your results return positive, you’ll be offered a free telephone consultation with our GP who will be able to answer any questions you may have about your condition. We will also be able to arrange your prescription or onward referral, should it be required.

Every test on offer from Your Sexual Health carries an accuracy date. Testing before this time will result in false negatives, where you believe you are clear, when in actual fact you have not waited long enough before testing.

This amount of time is required for the disease to reach a detectable level within your body or for your body to react to the condition with the production of antibodies. In all cases, testing before this time is a waste of time and money.

If you have any questions about our accuracy dates please contact our customer services team on 0161 660 2599 and one of our experts will be able to help you.
