Who is this test for?

This test is designed for people who want the peace of mind that our Profile 1 test offers, without looking into all of the lesser known sexually transmitted infections. This test still offers a comprehensive screen against the most serious and most common conditions, including chlamydia, gonorrhoea and HIV.

Turnaround Time

This test has a 2 day turnaround time to gain accurate results once your samples are received by the lab. On many occasions our results are returned quicker. Some of the conditions within the Profile 2 test may be diagnosed quicker than others and we’ll notify you of each as and when we receive them.

Incubation Period

Please be advised that this test will only offer the advised level of accuracy against all conditions 28 days after potential exposure. If you believe you came into contact more recently than 28 days then you may wish to take one of our Early Detection tests which offer accurate results just 10 days after exposure.

Is this test right for me?

If you’re looking for peace of mind, without testing for the lesser known bacterial infections that our Profile 1 tests for, then this test is for you. Your potential exposure will need to have been over 28 days for accurate results. To find out more about any of our tests, contact our customer services team today.

Clinic test procedure

By selecting a clinic test you’ll be assisted by a nurse or doctor in one of our sexual health clinics located across the country.

1. Book your test

To book this test, simply press the ‘Select This Test’ button above. You’ll then be taken to our booking page where you can choose the best clinic for your needs.

2. Arrive at the clinic

Our clinics are all based in a discreet setting and because many of them are general health clinics, there’s no reason why anyone will know that you’re there for a sexual health screening. Just let the receptionist know who you are upon arrival.

3. Your blood sample

The Profile 2 test requires a blood and urine sample. The blood sample is collected by a trained nurse or doctor. They’ll take care of you and ensure you’re comfortable, but it will require the use of a needle.

4. Your urine sample

The urine sample will be collected by you in a clinic toilet, with the nurse or doctor providing you with full instructions before you deposit the sample. For the test to be fully accurate you must catch the first stream of urine.

5. Now we’ll take care of your results

Once you’ve deposited your sample, we’ll take care of the rest. We’ll notify you of your results using our online portal as soon as they’re reported by the laboratory.

Home test procedure

By choosing a home test we’ll post a sample kit to your door for you to collect the sample in your own home, before returning it in a prepaid envelope. Detailed instructions will be provided with the kit, but here’s how the process works.

1. Book your test

To book this test, simply press the ‘Select This Test’ button above. You’ll then be taken to our booking page where you will need to select the Postal Test option.

2. We’ll post the kit

As soon as we receive your order the kit will be dispatched with all of the paperwork you’ll require. Our kits are sent by first class post unless you choose the Click & Collect option.

3. Your blood sample

Your blood sample will be collected using a finger prick sample collection kit. Full instructions will be provided with the kit and it’s important you follow them closely.

4. Your urine sample

Your urine sample requires the first stream of urine to be collected. Full the sample to the line and ensure the lid is securely fastened.

5. Now we’ll take care of your results

We provide you with a return postage envelope that can be sent directly to our laboratory. Simply put the package in the post box and as soon as it’s received by the lab we will begin testing.
